Certificate Programme in Instructional Leadership (CPIL)
Schools can serve as spaces where teachers and leaders function as a cohesive & collaborative unit and create a vibrant learning environment. As schools strive to grow, transform, and improve student learning, they increasingly depend upon their team leaders and coaches to support teachers in the process. However, effective coaching and mentoring is a skill that needs to be built and practiced and that is what CPIL has been designed for.
The programme is for experienced educators who aim to make learning deeper & more meaningful for students. It focuses on cultivating the leader within by helping educators connect with their true selves. Leadership is grounded in a personal theory of teaching and learning that stems from their experiences in the classroom.
CPIL draws on theoretical perspectives & evidence-based practice as well as frameworks of effective teaching, leadership & collaborative coaching practices. Candidates develop into skilled mentors who can scaffold deeper learning for teacher cohorts. Offering participants the unique opportunity of individual coaching for personal & professional growth, the programme helps turn the school into a learning laboratory, building capacity for continuous improvement.
